Professional Biography
Matt Fegan is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he teaches Legal Analysis Strategies, a bar preparation course focused on developing the analytical, writing, and exam skills necessary for success on the bar exam. He also serves as a Writing Advisor through the Denver University Bar Success (DUBS) program, helping graduates strengthen their legal writing for the bar.
In his legal practice, Matt represents Colorado Title 32 Special Districts and other local government entities, advising clients on governance, public finance, contracting, elections, and other matters of local government law. Prior to his current practice, he gained extensive courtroom experience representing clients in contested legal proceedings.
Before entering the legal profession, Matt worked as a teacher and education administrator. He earned his B.A. from the College of Wooster, his M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. His background in both education and legal practice informs his practical, skills-based approach to teaching and preparing future attorneys.
