Professional Biography

Professor Christopher Engle-Newman holds a juris doctor (J.D.) from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a B.A. in Education from the University of Arizona. Professor Engle-Newman serves as Assistant Director of the DU Bar Success Program and teaches courses and workshops related to bar exam preparation, particularly Legal Analysis Strategies. Prior to his current role, he served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Law for Bar Success at the University of Idaho College of Law and a visiting Assistant Professor of the Practice for the Externship Program at Denver Law. Prior to becoming law faculty, Professor Engle-Newman served in the Student Affairs office, directed the weekend Professional Part-Time J.D. Program, and has been coaching and teaching in the area of bar exam preparation at Denver Law since 2016. In 2019, Professor Engle-Newman received the inaugural Innovation and Impact Award from the National Association of Law Student Affairs Professionals (NALSAP) for his nationally recognized work in law school student affairs programming. Additionally, in 2020, Professor Engle-Newman received the Most Outstanding Staff/Administrator Award from the Student Bar Association at Denver Law.
