Professional Biography

An adjunct professor of law, Chris is an estate planning and elder law attorney who loves helping individuals and families of all backgrounds get their legacy organized. While in high school, Chris and his family lost his father to ALS (Lou Gherig’s disease). He learned firsthand how his mother and extended family benefitted from his parents having their affairs in order.

Since deciding to become an attorney, estate planning and elder law has been his principal focus, and he is grateful that this has been his path with only a brief foray into litigation early in his career. Chris took his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University to the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where he graduated in 2010.

As a father of five children, and while trying to remain active in the community, Chris has serves clients of all ages in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate, and protective proceedings (guardianships and conservatorships). He serves on the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of ALS United and is the current chair of the Denver Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (a faith-based service and educational organization for attorneys of all types). He is a co-editor of Elder Law in Colorado, an attorney’s guidebook to elder law.

When not serving clients, he and his family are active participants in their faith and school communities, and both he and his sweet wife have turned in to quite the chauffeurs as they ferry children to and from their activities. He and his wife enjoy every opportunity to share with their children their love of family, travel, skiing, and all forms of neighborhood adventures.
