New Class of Aspiring Lawyers Begins at the Sturm College of Law

Monday, Aug. 17, marked the start of the fall semester for students at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.

Admission officers reviewed more than 2,100 applications before selecting the 2020 incoming class. Of the 261 enrolled students, 228 will be full time and 33 are part time. Students are coming to Denver Law from 40 different states, and they hold degrees from 146 different undergraduate institutions.

This year’s class of JD students ranges in age from 20 to 60. Additionally, 26% of the students identify as an ethnic minority other than white. Representing an increase from previous years, the 2020 incoming class had a median grade point average of 3.55, while the median Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score was 159.
