The Sturm College of Law and the Ved Nanda Center for International & Comparative Law will be hosting a workshop on the book “Torts and Retribution: The Case for Punitive Damages” (Cambridge University Press 2025), by Professor María Guadalupe Martínez Alles, on April 30th 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be served.
Panels will showcase tort and criminal law scholars from the U.S. and abroad who will engage with the main themes of the book and how it might contribute to address pressing questions concerning privacy torts, antitrust law and products liability in the context of the digital economy. The author will reply to the commentators and then open the floor for exchange with the audience.
