Professional Biography
Doug Sanders teaches Employment Law and Employment Discrimination at the Sturm College of Law, and is Assistant Counsel at the National Treasury Employees Union representing several thousand employees in the federal civil service. Prior to joining NTEU, he worked at a New York City union-side boutique firm advising supermarket and teamster employees and enforcing retirement and health benefits fund matters in federal court. Doug has also served as a certified mediator for the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, and has tried several cases on behalf of the United States to uphold the pertinent health and safety statutes protecting workers in hazardous industries. Additionally, he serves as a campaign finance advisor to the District Attorney of Denver. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Michigan in 2003, Doug stayed in Ann Arbor for law school, graduating in 2005.
