Courses

Through its faculty affiliates from Sturm's Environmental and Natural Resources Law program and other academic units at the University of Denver graduate division, the Institute provides a variety of teaching and related educational services that directly contribute to students' knowledge of and expertise in the sustainable development field. RMLUI engages students during the course of their tenure at Sturm in as many learning opportunities as possible so they graduate equipped with the concepts, frameworks, and other core knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in an emerging and increasingly competitive field.

Sturm students have the opportunity to enroll in the Sustainable Cities Practicum, an advanced writing seminar focused on the role of land use planning and zoning in the development of sustainable communities. In addition, students may get course credit for Directed Research with Professor Daggett if they wish to pursue individualized research projects.

RMLUI also periodically offers short courses and seminars to the broader community. View An Introduction to Land Use Law from the 2013 Land Use Conference.
