The Nanda Center bought together national and international scholars and practitioners to discuss emerging trends in climate litigation exploring the evolving legal landscape of corporate climate liability and the legal strategies driving it.
We were honored to welcome Justice Brian Preston, Chief Judge of the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales, Australia, who opened the day's sessions by presenting the Henry & Mary Bryan Lecture in International Law.
The day was broken into three sessions: "From Fiduciary Duties and Disclosure Frameworks to Climate Liability", "Rethinking Causes of Action in Corporate Climate Litigation", and "Human Rights as a Catalyst for Corporate Climate Accountability".
