Join the Sié Chéou-Kang Center for International Security and Diplomacy and the Ved Nanda Center for International & Comparative Law for a faculty panel and open discussion of the current state of the War in Ukraine, 4 years after the full-scale invasion in February 2022. 

Panelists David Akerson, Sturm College of Law, Lewis Griffith, Korbel, Nadia Kaneva, MFJS (CAHSS), and Dmitrii Kuznetsov, Sturm College of Law and moderator Rachel Epstein, director of the Sie Center will discuss

  • Military strategy, technological advances, and the current state of conflict
  • Media influence, propaganda, and narratives surrounding the war
  • The position of the conflict in the global political economy and within policy priorities
  • Human rights abuses, war crimes, and the role of international law
