The McClellan Committe hearings of May 1957 included Robert F. Kennedy, committee counsel and Senator John F. Kennedy of Massachusetts. Because of the hearing, Congress enacted the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (Landrum-Griffin Act) in 1959.
