Mission Statement
Amnesty International is an international human rights organization that works impartially for the release of all prisoners of conscience, fair and prompt trials for political prisoners, and the end to torture, and executions. The Chapter at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law will present several speakers on these and related topics throughout the year. We also initiate campaigns by writing letters to government officials and prisoners. In addition, we participate in Legal Support Network, a program recently initiated for lawyers and law students affiliated with Amnesty International in the United States.
