Commencement Ceremony, May 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM – Magness Arena, Ritchie Center, University of Denver

Saturday, May 16th 10:00 a.m. at Magness Arena in the Ritchie Center
- Graduates please arrive no later than 9:15 a.m. at Hamilton Gymnasium, also located inside the Ritchie Center
- Magness Arena doors will open for commencement guests at 9:00 a.m.

When you arrive and the ceremony:
- Please check in with the Registrar’s Office in Hamilton Gymnasium to pick up your name card.
- You should have your robe on but please leave your hood off.
- There is a pinning ceremony at the beginning of the commencement ceremony. You will receive your pin when you check in with the Registrar’s Office.
- You will need to line up in alphabetical order. Each row of students will have a staff Marshall to lead you into the arena and answer any and all questions you may have.
- Each graduate will receive a program when they enter the arena during the processional.
Tickets: Are not required for any guests attending the ceremony. Feel free to invite all friends and family to the ceremony.
Parking: The Law School (L) Lot and all of the General Parking (GP) Lots will be open and free for you and your guests. Please see the parking map. Additional ADA parking will be available on the North side of the Ritchie Center. Accessible Seating: All guests needing accessible seating should enter the doors on the north side of the Ritchie Center (from Buchtel Blvd.). Please contact Lauri Mlinar for additional information.
Robes: You may pick up your robes the DAY BEFORE commencement in Room #412 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. You must wear regalia (robe and gown) to participate in the ceremony. If you have not yet rented your cap and gown you need to do so IMMEDIATELY by contacting Diane Phillips.
Following the Ceremony:
- The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
- There will be a reception following the ceremony back in the College of Law Forum. All graduates, friends, and family are welcome and encouraged to attend.
- You will need to return your cap, gown, and hood at the law school in Room #412 following the ceremony/reception. You will be allowed to keep your tassel.

Graduation Intent Card
You must complete the Graduation Intent Card to be considered for graduation (link below). You cannot graduate without completing this form! An awards form may be submitted if you receive any Scholastic Excellence Awards, named DU scholarships or awards, and/or place first in any moot court competitions. Additionally, if you plan to sit for the Colorado Bar Examination, you must complete the LXForm5.

Graduation vendors will be here again, on Student Street, on March 25.
Graduation Vendors include:
• Willsie Cap & Gown – All students who wish to walk in the ceremony must order a robe and hood. Cash or check only.
• Josten’s Class Rings
• CB Announcements
• Fingerprinting for Bar Application – $20 required at the time of fingerprinting, cash or check only.
University Photography will also be here taking photos, in Suite 115, for the 2008-2009 composite:
Tuesday, January 20th from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, January 21st from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. (with a lunch break from 1:00-2:00)
Thursday, January 22nd from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (with a lunch break from 1:00-2:00)
If you are not photographed by University Photography in January you will not appear on the composite board.

- CB Announcements – Order your graduation announcements. View their website at http://www.cbgrad.com/.
- Class Rings – Jostens will be on campus displaying class rings that you can order. View their website at www.jostens.com.
- Fingerprinting – Please contact your local law enforcement office.
