Speaker Event, “Aviation and Climate Change”

John E. Putnam, a partner at Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP, came to the University of Denver Sturm College of Law on behalf of the Transportation Law Journal to discuss aviation and climate change. In front of a packed classroom, Mr. Putnam discussed the different ways aviation affects the environment including emission of greenhouse gases. Mr. Putnam also discussed how the aviation industry is acting to reduce its negative affects on the environment.

Mr. Putnam’s practice emphasizes counseling and litigation for public and private entities on complex issues of environmental, land use and transportation law, especially for large public and public/private projects. Mr. Putnam has extensive experience providing clients with strategic advice on large and controversial development and transportation projects, including airports, highways, real estate development, telecommunications facilities, water projects and other infrastructure throughout the country.
