Program Overview: Maybe it is the economy and stress or maybe it is the type of law you practice…or maybe it is just time for a change. No matter what the reason, you may not be sure you want to keep practicing the same (or any) type of law. While the thought of getting out of the law or changing your practice area may have been inconceivable when you graduated law school, now you may be accepting this fact. But what to do? Is this the right time for a change? More importantly – what should that change be? This self-exploratory workshop is the first step in answering these questions. Join us if you

What You Will Learn in this Workshop:

  • Assess your current situation, level of personal fulfillment and life/ career options
  • Understand your personal ‘style’ – which environments work for you, what is the impact of our communication preferences on your career choice?
  • What is important to you and what does that mean for a career change? Clarifying your personal values and motivators.
  • Think outside the box and look at things from a new angle: see past the options you think you have now and explore options from a wider perspective.
  • Understand your personality strengths and how to harness them to find and get the right job.
  • Leave with a tailored action plan so you can turn your new understanding into a real career change. You will know which actions you should stop, which you should start, and the ones that work well for you.

Program Agenda:

  • How satisfied are you in your job?
  • Change and transition – What are you afraid of?
  • Values
  • Vision
  • Looking back – exploration of what matters the most
  • Impact of personality type on determining and obtaining your job
  • Finding satisfaction within the profession
  • What’s next?
