The Partners at Law Lunch and Dinner are events that facilitate interaction between students and alumni based on their interest and practice area. The Career Development Center is proud to present the Partners at Law (PALS) Program. PALS provides an opportunity for students to interact with alumni and friends of the College of Law in an informal setting to discuss career choices and goals, obtain advice on interviewing, and gain insight into other important aspects of the practice of law or law related professions.
Students and alumni will attend an event, either lunch or dinner. One or two attorneys will be seated with two to four students. One student at each table takes notes during the meal summarizing the key points and advice gleaned from the conversation. Later in the program, the student shares the insights and information gained with the entire group. Students who have participated in PALS in the past regard it as an invaluable networking tool and an opportunity to receive essential practical advice.
Non-attorneys are also encouraged to participate in this program, as many students have an interest in alternative careers.
