OCI - Employer Resources

The University of Denver Sturm College of Law cordially invites you to participate in our Fall 2009 Recruiting Season!

Online registration is NOW available through our DU Law Careers Online Symplicity system.

In today’s increasingly globalized world with its ever-changing laws, a comprehensive legal education demands a healthy dose of practical experience. DU Law has long been ahead of the curve in providing students with opportunities to learn outside of the classroom, emphasizing writing and practical training, and providing a dynamic, rigorous curriculum. Above all, DU Law is committed to educating market ready lawyers. We encourage you to meet our students face-to-face this fall through DU Law’s 2009 On-Campus Interviews (OCI), or alternatively through our Application Collection recruiting option.

On-Campus Interviews:

OCI will begin on August 26 and continue through October as needed, with a few blackout dates. Employers will select their preferred interview date (session) and specify hiring criteria during online registration. After the student application deadline (approximately August 13), Employers will be able to view the applications online and determine which students they wish to interview. Interviews will take place in the Sturm College of Law building. (NOTE: If you cannot find a date that meets your schedule, or you decide later in the summer or fall to participate, please contact us directly for assistance. We offer considerable flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your needs. We are also happy to coordinate our interviews with the University of Colorado at Boulder should you wish to visit both schools in one recruiting trip.)

Please register online by Monday, June 15, to reserve a spot for OCI. (Register early for best selection of dates! Interview dates are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.) You will receive an email confirmation, with your confirmed interview date, within one week of registering. Students will have access to Employer information and positions after July 2, and will be able to begin applying after July 16.

A fee of $200 will be charged for firms/organizations interviewing on campus. We will, however, waive this fee for firms/organizations recruiting on our campus for the first time and for government and nonprofit agencies. Please mail your check to our office (address below) within ten days of completing your online registration to hold your interview date. Your check should be made payable to the University of Denver. If you need to cancel your on-campus interviews for any reason, you will receive a full refund by notifying us of such cancellation before July 1. After July 1, no refund will be available.

Application Collection:

For employers who cannot come to campus, we invite you to participate in our Application Collection program. Employers may register online through our DU Law Careers Online Symplicity system by choosing this option and selecting their hiring criteria. Students will submit their application materials online, and Employers will then select which students to invite to their office for an interview. Employers may register at any time, but we encourage you to sign up by Monday, June 15, for maximum exposure to students. There is no charge for this service.
