What are the prerequisites to your law school?

How do I get more information about the LSAT?
We can send applicants a Law School Admission Test (LSAT) booklet or one may wish to visit the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) website www.lsac.org or call them at 215.968.1001.
Do you average multiple LSAT scores?
All LSAT scores for an applicant will be considered by the Admissions Committee; however, in most cases your highest LSAT score will be used when reviewing your file for admission.
How do I get a Denver Law application?
You can access our online application through the Law School Admission Council’s (LSAC) website. You must register with the Credential Assembly Service to access our online application.
When do you start accepting applications for Fall 2012 entrance?
September 1, 2011
What is tuition?
Tuition is set at $1261.00 per credit hour for the 2011-2012 academic year. Tuition for full-time day students (taking 30 credits) is $37,830.00. Tuition for part-time eventing students (taking 22 credits) is $27,742.00.The University of Denver is a private university with no tuition difference between in-state and out-of-state residents. How many applications did your school receive last year?
We receive approximately 2500 applications.
How many students are in your entering class?
We have approximately 300 first year law students enter each year. About 240 students are in the full time day division and about 60 are in the part time evening division.
What is your median LSAT score and median GPA score?
The 2011 entering class has a median LSAT score of 159 and a median UGPA of 3.50.
What is your median age?
The 2011 entering class has a median age of 25.
Applicant FAQ
How do I request an application fee waiver?
If you have already received a fee waiver from LSAC, your application fee will automatically be waived when you submit our online application through CAS.
When does the Admissions Committee begin reviewing applications?
The Admissions Committee begins reviewing complete applications and making admissions decisions for Fall 2012 entrance in December 2011 and continues throughout the following spring.
Is there an application deadline?
There is no formal application deadline. However, for the best consideration, your application and supporting documents should be received by the Office of Admissions by March 1 of the year you would like to enter.
How do I submit my personal statement and resume?
We require that your personal statement and resume be attached as electronic documents to our online application.
Are the supplemental questions required?
The supplemental questions are not required. You can write answers to these optional questions if you would like. Answers should be brief, yet include all relevant information pertaining to the question. Your answer could be anywhere from a couple of sentences to a page in length. For the supplemental question dealing with any significant written products, we are looking for a description of your written products and request that you do not include these written products with your application.
How many letters of recommendation are required?
We require two letters of recommendation be sent through the LSAC’s Letter of Recommendation service. In exceptional circumstances you can send in a maximum of four letters of recommendation.
How can I check the status of my application?
To check the status of your application click here and use the system generated username and password sent to you by email. We will update this website as your application moves through our review process. For questions about your username and password, please contact the Office of Admissions at 303.871.6135 or admissions@law.du.edu.
When will I be notified of an admission decision?
Once an application becomes complete, it moves on to the Admission Committee for review. It can take our Admissions Committee anywhere from 6-8 weeks to reach a decision on your application. We will be sending all decisions by email this year and also updating decisions in our online status check.
