Submissions must be received no later than Friday, July 18th, 2008

Session Proposal

  • Session proposal that fit into one of the four categories listed will be given preference.
  • Please be sure to first review the Session Proposal Information Page.
  • Please complete ALL of the following information.  Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
  • To ensure you have adequate time to get your message across, we are limiting all sessions to no more than 2 speakers. You may also include a moderator, for a total of 3 people.
  • Please keep in mind that the required information is necessary in order to apply for AICP CM and Continuing Legal Education credits.

1. Title Think creatively and write a title that will attract attendees to your session, but that accurately reflects the content of your presentation
2. Track Please choose one of the following categories to which your session will relate. This step is mandatory.
3. Format of Session Please specify a format for your proposed session

5. Provide a three sentence (50-60 words) summary of your session This summary will be used to prepare the conference program description. Make certain it is well written and thorough. When preparing your presentation and description, remember all of the stakeholders involved in the land-use arena. This is the marketing tool to encourage attendance at your session. This step is mandatory.
6. Outline of Session Prepare a brief outline for your session including main topic points. The outline will be used in applying for Continuing Legal Education credits. Break-out sessions are generally 75 minutes. Allow for a minimum 15 minutes for discussion. This step is mandatory.

Please provide ALL of the following information in order to be considered. This step is mandatory.

If selected, all speakers must personally confirm their participation online by September 12, 2008, and agree to meet subsequent deadlines for submitting all necessary forms. If these deadlines are not met, your session will be replaced with another.

Please note that all moderators, and speakers will be required to register online for the conference, although the basic registration fee is complimentary. We encourage speakers and their organizations to contribute financially as sponsors. This allows RMLUI to maintain and enhance our role as a critical forum on Western land use issues through conferences, research, and publications.
