Certificate Requirements:
- Complete at least twelve (12) semester credits in the Workplace Law curriculum.
- At least 6 credits of the required 12 must come from the following core courses:
- Survey of Employment Law.
- Employment Discrimination Law.
- Labor Law.
- At least 3 credits of the required 12 must come from a capstone experience in the Workplace Law curriculum. Capstone options include:
- An employment/labor related clinical experience through the SLO.
- A workplace-related externship approved by the Program Director.
- Completion of a research paper satisfying the College of Law’s upper-level writing requirement through a Workplace Law class or through directed research with a Workplace Law faculty member.
- Publishing a note on a workplace law topic in the Denver University Law Review under the supervision of a Workplace Law faculty member.
- In the event that the SCOL obtains or establishes a workplace law publication, serving as a student editor for the review or journal.
- Completion of a designated “capstone” course in the Workplace Law curriculum.
- A cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 in all Workplace Law courses.
