Professor Deborah L. Borman is from Chicago, Illinois and previously taught on the faculty at Northwestern University, DePaul University College of Law and the John Marshall Law School, all in Chicago. Prior to teaching, she served as a career clerk in the Illinois Appellate Court and as an Assistant Illinois Attorney General in the Consumer Fraud Bureau. Professor Borman is an Assistant Editor of the Journal of the Legal Writing Institute, a Contributing Editor to the 9th Edition of Black’s Law Dictionary, and presents at national legal writing conferences on the use of improvisational theatre games to practice oral advocacy.
